I absolutely love this leash setup. No more getting tangled or twisted up.
My favorite part is the carabiner that connects to the harness. I've had accidents with push pin and lobster claw connectors coming undone. I have a lot of trust in these auto locking carabiners. I used to add similar ones to my old leashes as a second connection. These simplified my setup and prevent getting twisted as they swivel.
Finally found a system I trust for my dogs.
Love it! I have 2 80lb husky’s and this is the leash I’ve been looking for - it doesn’t get twisted and feels like it’s gonna hold up!
My first time having a double leash, but so far, it has been fantastic. It's made walking both of them by myself far easier than trying to walk them together on individual leads. I have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, one adult female (86 lbs) and one male puppy who's only 5 months old (71 lbs). This breed is not known for being easy dogs to walk on a lead--they are far better when off-leash. However, since I live in town and not far from a major highway, all our walks around the house require them to be on a leash. The puppy is still learning how to behave on a leash, period, much less be on a double, but this 2-in-1 leash has worked beautifully for us so far, with very little adjustment time. I chose the Mammut Crag Workhorse rope in a 5-foot leash length, and that turned out perfect.
It's well-built, solid, just like our other Tuenne Technical leashes, but the swivel where it splits into two leads is just spectacular. It makes walking the two of them by myself so much simpler, and the puppy is much more manageable than if I'm trying to hold two individual leads. I thought it would require more of an adjustment period for them to get used to it, but a couple of very short walks around the block, and they figured it out just fine. Very glad I picked this up, as walking two ridgebacks can be a challenge in the best of circumstances, and this just helps take some of the potential frustration out of the equation. They can change sides with NO TANGLES when using regular collar attachment points. The only potential trip-up is if they step over the leash when it's held low, so the operator just needs to keep their end high to prevent that. If they diverge and pull in opposite directions, you're not fighting them both, they're now pulling on each other and you're on easy street. Not sure how well it will work using harness front clip attachment points, but I will be experimenting with that next...should be fine with harness top attachments, though. There's enough lead length after the swivel so that I can put them both on heel, one to each side, when the need arises, then quickly transition back to letting them explore ahead of me.
So if you have two dogs and already like these type of climbing rope leashes, and the loop handle/locking carabiner combo is up your alley, then having this double lead in your kit is an absolute no-brainer.
I love my 2-N-1 leash. Great quality and amazing customer service. I contacted them and asked for a different handle on the leash and they responded quickly and made the adjustments I requested. This is my 4 leash from the and not my last.
Got my leash for 2 of my dogs - it’s fantastic ,however- it desperately needs a padded handle! That would be a HUGE improvement! This leash is great….that would make it perfect!
